Our eyes have been opened by researching and organising our #CoffeeCupPledge (we are asking 50 coffee lovers to stop using disposable cups throughout the month of September 2018 and use our travel mug instead).

You may have seen Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and his #waronwaste campaign over the past year. Here he is below on the BBC explaining that the disposable cups used by most coffee shops and chains aren’t actually recyclable despite appearing to be.

We have put together an info-graphic with the stark facts around this issue:

If you are interested in helping and making a change, why not apply to join our #CoffeeCupPledge? We have extended our deadline to August 24th 2018.

Simply post to LinkedIn or email us with your name, company and position, why you love coffee and how often you visit a coffee shop/cafe a week. The top 50 applicants will receive a Steel City travel mug to use during the pledge and keep afterwards!

Wake up and smell the waste
